The short version
Swimex sells, installs and services pool enclosures across the UK and Ireland under three names: Galaxy for arched buildings, EasyGlide for angled ones and BabyDome. It says it has sold over 1,000 enclosures in the UK and gives 1998 as its starting year.
It does not make the angled telescopic enclosures itself. Its website names Verandair in Belgium as their maker, and its EasyGlide brochure names Pool Cover in Belgium. The pages we read do not say who makes the Galaxy.
Swimex deserves credit for something rare in this trade: it tells you roughly what you will pay before a salesperson visits.
What it costs
These are Swimex’s own guide ranges, subject to a site visit and final specification.
| Type | Guide range |
|---|---|
| Low telescopic | £12,000 to £24,000 |
| High telescopic | £20,000 to £45,000 |
| Fixed | £15,000 to £40,000 |
The main website does not say whether VAT is included. The Galaxy website and the EasyGlide brochure give the same ranges “plus VAT”, so assume VAT comes on top. No sizes are attached to the ranges.
The buying process is a free design visit, then scale drawings and a fixed price quotation.
What you get
- Shapes: arched (Galaxy) or angled (EasyGlide), fixed or telescopic, freestanding, lean to or end on to a building.
- Size: made to any length, width or height. The arched design spans up to 14 metres.

- Doors: sliding, hinged or concertina, all lockable. The fixed Galaxy has side walls that lift to 2.1 metres.
- Drive: by hand, or optional solar powered motors on the EasyGlide.
On strength, Swimex says all its buildings conform to Building Control wind and snow requirements and that it supplies structural calculations. It does not publish a load figure or name a standard.
Warranty
The website states a 10 year product guarantee. The EasyGlide brochure, which carries a 2021 code, states 15 years. Ask which applies to your order and get it in the contract.
The company
The site is operated by Swimex Enclosures Limited, company number 06207634. The public register shows it was incorporated on 10 April 2007 and traded as Europa Pool Covers Limited until April 2010. So the 1998 date on the website is older than the present company. The register lists its office on the Isle of Wight, while the website gives an address in Oundle.
On 1 October 2026 the register showed the company as active, with accounts filed to 31 December 2025 and the next ones due by 30 September 2027.
What we could not find
- Who makes the Galaxy.
- Any named standard or load figure.
- Sizes for the guide price ranges.
- The current brochures, which sit behind a contact form.
Questions worth asking
- Who manufactures the enclosure you are quoting, and where?
- Is the guarantee ten years or fifteen, and who stands behind it?
- Does the quotation include VAT, delivery and installation?
- May I see the structural calculation for my site?
