DomeCheck earns nothing today. There are no adverts on the site, no paid listings and no links that pay us a commission. The site is being built and its costs are paid by BDMADS, the company that operates it.
When that changes, this page changes first.
How we plan to earn
Quote requests
Most people buying an enclosure want two or three quotes. We plan to offer a form that sends your request to dealers and makers, who pay us for the introduction.
- You will see the name of every company that will receive your request, and you choose which ones do.
- Your details go to those companies and to nobody else.
- Asking for quotes will be free for you and will never be a condition of reading anything.
Partner placements
A dealer may pay to appear in a marked slot. Every such slot will carry the words “Partner · Paid placement” on the slot itself, not in small print elsewhere, and it will sit outside any ranked list.
Shopping links
Some smaller products, such as hot tub shelters and pool domes, are sold online. Where a link to a shop pays us a commission, the link will be marked “Ad” where you can see it.
Display advertising
This is the last thing we would add, if we add it at all.
What money cannot buy
- A score, or a change to one.
- A higher place in a ranked list.
- The removal or softening of a negative finding.
- The removal of a genuine owner review.
- Silence. If a company that pays us does something buyers should know about, we publish it.
How you can hold us to this
Every paid element will be labelled where it appears. If you find one that is not, or you believe a payment has influenced something we published, tell us through the contact page and we will answer in public on this page.
