What we use as evidence
- Makers’ and dealers’ own documents: brochures, data sheets, price lists, warranty terms and installation guides.
- Public records, such as company filings.
- Published rules, such as planning guidance.
- Reviews from owners who have shown us proof of ownership.
- Public feedback elsewhere, which we cite and link to but never copy as a rating.
Each fact on the site carries the source it came from and the date we read it. Where a source has since changed or disappeared, we say so.
Research first, testing where we say so
Our reviews are research based. We go deep into the specifications, compare models side by side, check prices and company records, and read what owners report, on this site and on public review sites.
We do not run a laboratory. If we have visited, inspected or tested a product ourselves, the review says so and describes what we did. If it does not say so, the review rests on research alone.
How a page is made
We use software, including AI tools, to collect documents, pull out facts and prepare drafts. Software does not decide what is true. A person reads every page against its sources before it is published, and nothing goes live without that read.
Owner reviews are the exception to all of the above: no software and no editor ever writes or rewrites them.
Pictures
The illustrations on this site are generated images of types of enclosure. They are not photographs and they do not show any particular product. Each one is labelled as an illustration. Drawings that compare sizes are made from published dimensions.
We use a maker’s own photographs only with written permission.
Independence
DomeCheck is operated by Black Digital Marketing and Advertising EST. (BDMADS), a publisher. It is not owned by, and does not sell for, any enclosure maker or dealer. How the site is paid for is set out in how we make money. Payment never changes what we publish.
Right of reply
Before we publish a review of a named company, we send that company the facts we intend to use and ask whether any are wrong. A company can also write to us at any time through the contact page. What a company tells us is checked like any other source. A company cannot approve or veto a review.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us and, if you can, point us to a document that shows it. When we correct a page we change the text, note what changed and add the date. We do not quietly rewrite.
Opinions and facts
Scores and verdicts are our opinions. They are always shown with the facts they rest on, so you can judge the reasoning for yourself and disagree with it.
